Growing Fast, Involta Announces New Hires in Sales, Management

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – July 23, 2015 – Involta, LLC, an industry-leading managed IT, cloud computing and data center services company, announced five new hires throughout the organization to keep pace with its rapid growth. These strategic additions come on the heels of Involta’s recent acquisition of the assets of Data Recovery Services, LLC (DRS), a managed-services and IT consulting firm operating in Ohio and Pennsylvania, which effectively doubled the size of the company. Involta now operates twelve data center facilities, owns more than 5,500 miles of fiber, and employs nearly 200 employees.

The new hires include: Aaron de la Vara as Account Executive for Tucson, Arizona; David Gehring as Sales Engineer and Michelle Moran as Regional Director for Akron, Ohio; and Eric Brooker as Director of Sales and Beth Herrington as Inside Sales Representative for Duluth, Minnesota.

David Gehring, Sales Engineer, Akron, Ohio. Gehring’s most recent position was a Solution Architect for Hewlett-Packard Continuity Services, a position he held for 14 years. Now based at Involta’s Akron location, he will work as a member of the sales team to provide knowledge and support to the sales process. He holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Toledo.

Michelle Moran, Regional Director, Akron, Ohio. Moran’s past positions include Regional Director at Qwest where she was responsible for $75 million in revenue, Senior Sales Manager at MCI, and Regional Director, Midwest, for EarthLink. Now based at Involta’s Akron facility, she will develop sales, revenue and visibility in the Akron and Columbus markets and integrate DRS staff and products into the Involta fold. She holds certifications in cloud/virtualization and solution selling.

Eric Brooker, Director of Sales, Duluth, Minnesota. Brooker has been a sales leader in the technology industry for nearly 15 years, most recently with a managed-services provider located in the Twin Cities and headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. Now based at Involta’s Duluth location, he will lead sales efforts in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Duluth and greater Minnesota.

Beth Herrington, Inside Sales Representative, Duluth, Minnesota. Herrington’s most recent position was as Project Coordinator and Senior Service Technician at Compudyne. Now based at Involta’s Duluth location, she will generate leads and identify, develop and qualify sales opportunities in order to sell Involta products and services.

Aaron de la Vara, Account Executive, Tucson, Arizona. De la Vara’s past positions include Senior Relationship Manager with D&B and Senior Account Executive with Qwest/CenturyLink. Now based at Involta’s Tucson location, he will build and manage customer relationships and develop sales opportunities in the Tucson/Phoenix market and surrounding region.
