Cedar Rapids, IA – Involta, LLC, an industry-leading managed IT, cloud computing and data center services company, announced today the hiring of William D. Markert as Chief Financial Officer effective November 1, 2015. Mr. Markert joins Involta from WhiteHorse Finance, Inc., a business development company, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, Mr. Markert was Chief Financial Officer for more than five years at Securus Technologies, Inc., an integrated communications and technology company where he helped lead the company to significant earnings growth. Mr. Markert has also held executive-level finance and operations roles at Eschelon Telecom and Global Crossing and its predecessor companies during a 25-year career in the telecommunications and technology industry.
Involta also announced the promotion of Thomas Wilcox to Chief Technical Officer. Mr. Wilcox, who most recently held the position of Vice President of Technical Services, has over 20 years of experience leading technical operations teams and building high-performing groups. He has worked in multiple industries, including finance, manufacturing and telecommunications and specializes in assisting companies with regulatory and security compliance, ITIL implementation, managing outsource resources and achieving operational excellence.
