Involta Announces New Hires in Engineering, Sales, Management

Cedar Rapids, IA – Involta, LLC, an industry-leading managed IT, cloud computing and data center services company, announced several recent hires throughout their organization. These additions come after a year of significant growth and milestones for Involta, including several business awards and a $50 million round of equity funding with M/C Partners of Boston and Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.

Hires throughout the Company’s eight national data center locations include: Loren Brown as Regional Sales Engineer for Minnesota; Rick Landry as Regional Sales Director for the Southwest Region; Angie Casarez as Inside Sales Associate in Tucson; Chris Rodeffer as Data Center Manager in Marion, Iowa; and Vijay Kumar Singh as Inside Sales Associate, Patrick Dilley as Account Manager, and Bill Morgensen as Account Executive in Boise, Idaho. Late in 2014, the Company also announced the hiring of Jeff Szymanski as Vice President of Strategic Markets.

Loren Brown, Regional Sales Engineer, Minnesota. Brown’s past positions include System Engineer at Sun Microsystems and McData and Solution Engineer at QLogic. Now based at Involta’s Duluth, MN data center, he will devise and implement technical IT solutions that align with customer business objectives to deliver value from IT. He has completed formal training in OEM Storage Solutions Architecture, SME Fiber Channel and SANS.

Angie Casarez, Inside Sales Associate, Tucson. Casarez’s most recent position was as a Business Development Representative at the Better Business Bureau. Now based at Involta’s Tucson, AZ facility, she will identify, develop and qualify sales opportunities for Involta products and services. She has completed several sales training programs and is studying for her B.A. degree.

Patrick Dilley, Account Manager, Boise. Dilley’s most recent position was in public administration for the City of Meridian, Idaho. Now based at Involta’s Boise facility, he will interface directly with potential customers to align their needs with the IT value Involta delivers. He holds a M. S. from the College of Idaho and a B.S. from the University of Idaho.

Rick Landry, Regional Sales Director, Southwest Region. Landry’s past positions include Global Sales Director at Savvis and Sales Director for OneNeck IT Solutions. Now based at Involta’s Tucson, AZ data center, he will direct sales of data center and IT services within the Southwestern states and manage inside sales teams and regional marketing campaigns. He holds a certificate in Business Administration from UCLA.

Bill Morgensen, Account Executive, Boise. Morgensen’s recent past positions include Senior Sales Executive at Corporate Technologies, Director of Sales at Diverse Communications and Outside Sales Manager at Edge Wireless. Now based at Involta’s Boise facility, he will focus on new customer acquisition and serve as an account manager for existing customers in the Boise region.

Chris Rodeffer, Data Center Manager, Iowa. Rodeffer’s past positions include Senior Manager of Information Technology at Infinity Contact and Technical Specialist at APAC Customer Services. Now based at Involta’s Marion, IA location, he will oversee daily operations at the data center to ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) fulfillment and customer satisfaction.

Vijay Kumar Singh, Inside Sales Associate, Boise. Singh’s past positions include Account Manager at Northwest Marketing Group and Social Media Marketing Specialist at Brainstorm Creative. Now based at Involta’s Boise location, he will increase market awareness for Involta through sales leads and social media. He holds a B.A. in Entrepreneurial Management from Boise State University.

Jeff Szymanski, Vice President of Strategic Markets. Szymanski’s past positions include Vice President of Enterprise Technology Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and leadership positions in enterprise technology services and data center services, management and expansion. For Involta, he will lead strategic engagements and business development efforts, leveraging his expertise from the healthcare sector.
