Involta Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary and Relocation to NewBo District

08/11/2017

Cedar Rapids, Iowa: Involta, LLC, award-winning national provider of IT intelligence and end-to-end infrastructure, is pleased to announce the Cedar Rapids, Iowa team will be moving. The ever-expanding team has outgrown their current downtown Cedar Rapids office space on 2nd Street SE, and will be moving to a larger space at 406 12th Ave SE in January 2018. The 12,800 square-foot office space will accommodate Involta’s Cedar Rapids staff with additional offices, multiple collaborative spaces and an expansive boardroom.

Involta was founded in 2007 through the merger of Technology Resources Company and CoVault Technology, LLC. As technology evolved and data infrastructure became increasingly essential, Involta provided critical support to clients in the region. Involta has experienced tremendous growth since then.

“We’re looking forward to the excitement of our move in a few months to the NewBo District,” said Bruce Lehrman, Involta Founder and CEO. “We are designing a collaborative space that will allow our team and our business to continue to grow.”

The new space will increase Involta’s Cedar Rapids office space, increasing the number of offices and leaving additional room for planned staff growth. Open gathering and collaborative spaces will allow the Involta team to host customer events and larger meetings.

“We are excited to grow and continue to plan the future of Involta from this new space,” continued Lehrman.

Since 2007, Involta has expanded into nine markets in the United States, including Arizona, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Involta serves clients in healthcare, technology, manufacturing, government and other industries where IT is mission-critical.

Involta opened its 14th data center in Independence, Ohio in June 2017. The 25,000+ square-foot colocation facility features: temperature and humidity controls, fully-redundant power and HVAC, and 24/7/365 critical monitoring. It is connected to Involta’s Akron data center by a state-of-the-art fiber ring, providing one-millisecond latency between the two concurrently maintainable sites.

This fall, Involta will open its 15th data center in the Greater Pittsburgh area. University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), a leading integrated healthcare provider and insurer, will be the anchor tenant and selected Involta to build, own and operate the multi-tenant facility in the Northpointe Business Park.

The Northpointe facility will consist of nearly 40,000 square-feet, including conditioned data center space, additional storage space, mechanical and electrical infrastructure, and additional office space for client and business continuity use. The data center will be concurrently maintainable, with redundant capacity (power, cooling and connectivity) components and multiple independent distribution paths serving the computer equipment. The facility will also feature biometric security and 24/7/365 monitoring and access. Involta clients will have access to the entire suite of technical services the company offers.
