The Tucson Internet Exchange is open to all internet-related organizations operating within the Tucson market. There are no stringent requirements for participation other than adhering to the exchange’s established rules. As part of Involta’s commitment to bolster local connectivity and foster growth, Involta offers 1GbE and 10GbE ports free of charge for participants, allowing seamless connection.
Participants are only responsible for covering a monthly fee for single-mode fiber cross-connections to the switch within the data center and any transport costs to the data center if needed, ensuring that this innovative resource remains accessible to a wide range of organizations.
