Involta, a national leader in cloud, managed IT and data center services, today announced the promotion of James D. (Jim) Buie to President, effective immediately. Buie brings to his new role a wealth of knowledge in the technology industry and an array of experience leading corporate operations, sales and finance, on a national level. The recent appointment of Buie as President will help accelerate Involta’s growth trajectory.
In his previous role as Involta’s CFO, Buie was instrumental in growing the company’s hybrid cloud and strategic consulting offerings through the acquisitions of BluPrairie (2018), and IT|Lynk (2018). Moreover, he set the foundation for a cohesive sales and marketing culture at Involta. Prior to joining Involta in 2016, Buie built a unique reputation for scaling businesses and delivering industry-leading results. His distinguished 30-year track record within technology spans across leading companies such as ViaWest, Comcast and AT&T.
“We are pleased to announce Jim Buie will continue to provide leadership and oversight in this new capacity,” said Bruce Lehrman, Involta Founder and CEO. “Jim has been a driving force behind Involta’s strategic growth, and with his extensive knowledge of the tech industry, I am confident Involta is well-positioned to continue our development across the country.”
As the world continues to navigate COVID-19, Involta partners with its clients to deploy secure and reliable infrastructure, enabling remote work environments. The company provides mission-critical hybrid cloud and data center services to many essential businesses. To monitor and assess the health and wellness of its own essential employees, Involta recently launched a pilot program in partnership with MyndYou leveraging a virtual health coach and voice bot to help detect subtle changes in the employee’s health. Under Buie’s direction, the Involta team is committed to innovative practices to ensure the company delivers superior infrastructure and robust services to support the more than 120 healthcare clients that rely on the company now more than ever.
“We are expanding our ability to serve clients throughout the country,” stated Jim Buie, Involta President. “Continued expansion of data center services, hybrid cloud platforms, consulting and managed services – aligned with well-defined and rigorous processes – ensure our company, and our clients are positioned to create efficiencies and provide more predictable business outcomes.”
As the company’s national growth and footprint continue to grow, Involta is expanding the team. For information on open positions or to learn more about Involta, visit Involta.com
