10th Annual Fundraiser Changes Course with the Support of Involta as its Official Technology Sponsor
Cedar Rapids, Iowa —June 1, 2020—Involta, a national leader in cloud, managed IT and data center services, is proud to announce that it is the official technology sponsor of the Zach Johnson Foundation Virtual Gala. This highly anticipated event is being held on June 6, 2020, to commemorate the 10th anniversary in support of its program, Kids on Course. The mission of Kids on Course is to close the opportunity gap and place students on a path to post-secondary education. Founded by PGA TOUR golfer and Cedar Rapids native, Zach Johnson, the virtual event will be powered remotely from an Involta data center by their digital transformation team. Teeing off at 7 p.m. CDT, the #ZJFVIRTUALPARTEE will be streamed live on the foundation’s Facebook page with over 3,000 attendees expected to tune in across the country.
Headquartered in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with world-class data centers spanning Arizona, Idaho, Minnesota, Ohio and Pennsylvania, Involta has been a supporter of this charity event for several years. Behind-the-scenes, Involta will empower the foundation to execute the event and expand its reach beyond the state of Iowa, where the in-person event is typically celebrated, by supporting the gala’s virtualization from its Marion, Iowa data center facility.
“Involta is proud to continue our support of this significant event assisting children and their families as the gala’s official technology sponsor,” said Bruce Lehrman, CEO of Involta. “Now more than ever, it is critical that programs like Kids on Course receive the comprehensive support needed so that children can flourish. At Involta, we firmly believe it is essential to support the youth throughout the communities we serve. By sponsoring the gala, we will be helping to ensure children are equipped with the required necessities to succeed during the summer, in school and beyond. We are honored to lead the event with the latest technologies and to help raise much-needed funds and awareness for Kids on Course.”
Emceeing the evening’s festivities for the fifth consecutive year is Beth Malicki, anchor of KCRG-TV9. Attendees can expect an unforgettable evening filled with appearances from Zach Johnson and surprise celebrity and musical guests. Moreover, a silent auction platform has been launched complete with chances to win virtual happy hours with Zach Johnson and celebrity guests, sports memorabilia, experiences and signed NFL jerseys donated by Desmond King, Ben Niemann and Josey Jewell, with all proceeds going to Kids on Course.
“While we are disappointed our 10th anniversary couldn’t be in person this year, we are looking forward to seeing new and familiar faces online,” said Jenny Becker, Executive Director of the Zach Johnson Foundation. “I want to thank my team for pivoting the event and Involta for providing the technical support needed to produce the gala, virtually. I encourage everyone to tune in to our virtual gala to learn more about Kids on Course and how they can help us close the opportunity gap.”
