Involta Cares: A Best Christmas Ever Story

12/28/2021

Throughout 2021 Involta Cares has taken part in many community activities in all our locations. This December, our team took part in the Best Christmas Ever movement. Our Duluth Volunteer Ambassador for Involta Cares, Andrea Mistelske, took the lead on this endeavor and showed the world how Involta was able to pay it forward this year.

Andrea asked the entire company to donate to the cause beginning in October. Involta Cares was able to raise $13,500 for our sponsored family, which allowed us to give them the best Christmas ever. This family, made up of a mother and her two young boys, recently lost their husband and father. It was a devastating shock, but the Involta team and the surrounding community were able to provide them with support.

The family received various gifts along with many gift certificates to make life easier now that their husband and father have passed. Some of these gifts include new tires for their car, snow plowing services, and grocery gift cards, along with a few family fun gifts, including kayaks and bikes. They also received laptops for school and a life changing check that they can put towards a debt of their choice.

The Best Christmas Ever organization also gave two large gifts to every family blessed this year. Our sponsored family was invited to participate in the Dave Ramsey Financial Peace University and in a Total Wellness class. If they complete the Dave Ramsey class, they get $1,000 towards their debt of choice and if they complete the Total Wellness class, they get $1,000 at a grocery store of their choice. It was truly a Christmas miracle for this family.

The Involta team had a lot of fun getting to know the extended family and community members that pulled together. We even asked the fire department to help with the delivery. Involta Cares is glad we could help make BCE so much more than just a gift giving experience, but an opportunity to support our community as well.
