Involta’s Insights and Expertise Showcased at Data Center Frontier’s Data Center Summit

07/07/2023

During the recent Data Center Summit, a three-day educational event, Josh Holst, Involta’s Vice President of Cloud Services, shared his knowledge and expertise alongside other leaders from Lightwave, Cabling Maintenance & Installation, Security Info Watch and Data Center Frontier.

The Summit featured an Involta-sponsored manufacturing-focused webinar and a roundtable discussion with other tech experts to share insights into digital infrastructure industry trends and the major challenges manufacturers, data centers and IT teams face today.

Walking the Digital Manufacturing Optimization Tightrope
Josh teamed up with Rick Vanover, Senior Director of Product Strategy at Veeam, for Involta’s webinar, “Walking the Digital Manufacturing Optimization Tightrope: How to Balance Innovation, Security and Compliance.” The two tech industry pros unpacked the complex topic of navigating a dynamic digital manufacturing landscape where new technologies and cybersecurity threats continue to emerge rapidly. Amid this ever-changing digital environment, organizations seek the most efficient, cost-effective and secure ways to operate and manage their IT workloads.

Rick and Josh shared best practices for balancing multi-cloud optimization and establishing a robust, multi-level backup and disaster recovery strategy to secure critical business data and workloads. Other discussion topics included assessing the resiliency and effectiveness of data protection and recovery strategies, preparing for emerging cybersecurity threats and managing increasing digital demands with a small IT team.

The Cloudification of Colocation Continues
Josh also participated in a roundtable discussion, “The Cloudification of Colocation Continues,” along with Bill Kleyman from Neu.ro and Rich Miller, Founder and Editor of Data Center Frontier. The discussion took a deep dive into how service providers are moving beyond “power, pipes and ping” to offer new services that deploy colocation assets through cloud-style interfaces. In addition, colocation providers are embracing cloudification, finding a new sweet spot that includes offering a variety of advisory services to help clients implement effective, comprehensive IT strategies. Whether data is housed at a colocation facility, on-premises or in a public or private cloud, it all boils down to being a part of the customer journey and being a trusted partner.
