What do you do at Involta and in what circumstances would I come to you for something?
My favorite part of this job is helping people solve problems. My focus is on bringing people, processes, and technology, specifically public and hybrid cloud, together to achieve our customers’ business goals. If a customer is looking for a trusted partner to help them determine if they want “the cloud” or how to start their cloud journey on the right foot, I’d love to be part of that discussion!
What’s your go-to productivity trick?
I keep my list of priorities in a Google Keep note. If I have a “there’s so much to do, where do I even start?!?” moment or just a free block of time, its right at my virtual fingertips.
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
As I thought through this question, I pictured too many people to list, so I chose to share what they all have in common instead. Each one of them strives to help others succeed. They’ve helped me see others as individuals who are also trying to get their job done, rather than just a resource I need to finish my task. This realization has helped me elevate both their work and my own.
What is your favorite hobby?
I love to read! I have approximately 775 books in my Kindle library, but the only ones I’ve paid full price for are the latest Jack Reacher novels.
What is one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?
I’ve recently read several articles on “How successful people start their day” and, amazingly, none of them include the same activities, so I’ve been taking bits and pieces from each article and fitting them into my morning routine. One example is doing something non-work related, like emptying the dishwasher before running downstairs to the office. I’m not sure if it’s working yet, but I do enjoy the feeling of having built some momentum to get my day started!
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
Spending time with my wife. It doesn’t matter what we’re doing as long as we’re together!
