In today’s world, technology is ever evolving and as a company, we are too. Furthermore, when it comes to our team, we stand strong by our brand promise to DRIVE results for our customers. That’s why we’re excited to feature the Involta Spotlight.

Each month we feature one Involta team member from a personal and professional standpoint. Our illuminating interviews will capture the essence of what drives our team to deliver both at home and on the job. Our clients will get an inside look into who we are and learn more about our exceptional team members who are here to help our clients through their IT transformation journey. It’s our goal to help our clients “Get There” through trusting, communicative and collaborative relationships.

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

My parents have influenced me the most when it comes to how I approach my work every day. They instilled a strong work ethic in me. I always look back on that and I tried to do the same with my own kids.

What led you to this career?

I wanted to be in a field that I could retire from – IT was big at the time. Oh boy, that really ages me! IT sounded the most interesting to me, so that’s what I went for. I’m proud to say that I’m still happily working in the field today.

What’s your favorite piece of technology? Why?

Going back a few years, when I started at the Service Desk, I had to talk customers through processes instead of being able to take control over their screen. It was a major struggle because all computers are different and not all applications are in the same place, so my favorite piece of technology is remote (desktop) control.

What is your favorite hobby?

I don’t really have a hobby, but I would say my favorite thing to do is spend time with my kids and my grandkids. My grandkids are more fun at this age though!

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?

There isn’t much people don’t know about me. I’m pretty much an open book. Although, I am afraid of heights. The people who went on the President’s Club Costa Rica trip probably realized it. I think the walk up the side of the mountain about did me in!

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

I like to unwind by watching TV. Netflix or Hulu are my go-to. I absolutely love watching Sons of Anarchy and Emergency Room. I’ve seen Sons of Anarchy six times and Emergency Room twice. They are both so good, it’s impossible not to rewatch them.
