People Who Deliver: Spotlight Interview with Logan Toth

08/31/2022

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

I am currently working to become an efficient problem solver. For example, when I run into more than one problem in a day, I find that I jump from issue to issue instead of prioritizing my time. Now that I notice my lack of efficiency and the time I have lost, it is easy to stop and write down what is most important and what will get me to my goal.

What’s your go-to productivity trick?

For me there is no trick. If something needs done it becomes a priority and when I have a priority it gets done!

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?

Paul Moncrief without a doubt. Paul has given me an outlined sketch on how to approach things each week with goals at the end of each. Instead of assigning specific tasks, he gives me an outline. The point is for me to make mistakes and correct/revise them as I go. Paul took time to get to know me and how I operate, this has increased my onboarding speed 10x! He discovered that I learn best from failing and filling in the areas that need filled!

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?

Hyperactive. If I am assigned 1 task in a day the odds of me getting it done are not that high. But if I have 20 different tasks in a day I know I can get them all done due to the “change of scenery”. For some reason, this is the way I am wired and multiple different tasks keep me from burning out!

What led you to this career?

I would say the direct correlation business has to wrestling. I have wrestled my whole life and have always loved the constant battle to be the best and revise my approach. I would also give a shout out to Coach (Aaron) Schmidt for presenting the opportunity for me!

What’s the one thing that has surprised you about working at Involta?

The culture. It is how engaged and willing all of my coworkers are with me. I ask a lot of questions and I have yet to have someone not help me!

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?

That I technically do not sell anything. My role has more to do with getting prospects interested.

What’s your favorite piece of technology? Why?

I have a keyboard at home that lights up a bunch of different colors. This is by far my favorite piece of tech!

What is your favorite hobby?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with my little brother.

What is one thing you’re currently trying to make a habit?

Posting 5x a week on LinkedIn!

What’s the one thing most people don’t know about you?

Candy makes up 50% of my diet!

What’s the best advice you were given? From who?

Coach Armstrong (high school wrestling coach). “The reason you are not succeeding is not due to the effort you put in, but it is due to the lack of belief in yourself.”

What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or gaming with my brothers!!
