What’s your go-to productivity trick?
My go-to productivity trick comes with go-to productivity advice. I always keep track of my activities and priorities because you can’t simply trust your memory. It’s easy to forget tasks if something larger pops up or a personal emergency happens. It’s essential to pursue each activity, priority, task, or whatever you may call them to their completion.
What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
My positive attitude. An attitude is a choice, and I choose to keep things as positive as possible. If everything is positive, it’s rare for things to take a turn for the worst. If things are negative right off the bat, it can be really difficult to turn them around.
What led you to this career?
I used to manage vendors and employees in a retail setting when I first started my career. Later on, I moved into managing IT vendors at a Fortune 500 company. I really enjoyed doing that. When I came to Involta, I combined my experience of managing people and managing IT vendors, which has brought me success and happiness in my role today.
What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby is playing video games with my wife and son. We mainly play Super Mario Brothers, Mario Kart, and Beat Saber (a Virtual Reality Game).
What’s the best advice you were given? From who?
The best advice I was given was, “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.” I can’t remember who told me that, but I know it was back in my retail management days. It helps me stay prepared for things – both good and bad – that may come down the pike. It also helps me in creating effective processes in order to keep Involta compliant with contractual obligations.
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?
After a long day, I like to come home and spend time with my wife and son. We go on walks, play games, watch movies, and make dinner.
