What’s your go-to productivity trick?

I never go anywhere without my notebook. Taking handwritten notes keeps me focused during meetings, plus, the notes serve as a reminder for my upcoming tasks. For me, it is easier to remember a task I have written down rather than something I have typed on a computer.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?

I attribute my success to my drive and my positive attitude. Growing up, I learned this behavior from my father. I was able to envision how I could apply that mindset to my everyday life by watching him succeed. My father was, and still is, an amazing role model.

What’s the one thing that has surprised you about working at Involta?

I did not expect a workplace to treat its employees like one large family, but Involta does. I have been able to develop strong bonds with my colleagues. If someone asks me how I’m doing, they aren’t just trying to make small talk, they want an honest answer because they care about me – and vice versa.

What is your favorite hobby?

I enjoy working out every day during my lunch break. It helps me clear my head and prepare for the afternoon.

What’s the best advice you were given? From who?

Carol Shulte said, “Be brave.” Life can throw a lot of curve balls at you. The most important thing you can do is be brave when you are fielding them. Moreover, sometimes you need to step outside your comfort zone to do that and things will get easier. Sure, you can continue doing the things the way you have always done them, but you never know if there is a better way unless you switch things up.
